# Episode 1 Script ### 1-1 Interior Dashwood Family Office Main Executive Floor Day Cast: Elena Mercer, Owen Klein, Nora Rossi, Removal Crew △ Polished travertine floor glints under overhead office lights. Two removal workers unbolt the framed founder portrait from the wall. △ Elena stands with arms folded, tailored blazer sharp. Owen hovers one step behind her, jaw tight. Elena (flat, loud enough for the whole floor): Every asset on this floor, every access badge, every file cabinet now belongs to Mercer Global. No exceptions. Owen (quiet, leaning in): Elena. The old man's funeral was three days ago. The girls still live in the tower apartment- Elena (snapping round, cutting him off): Don't be weak. The board didn't approve this takeover so you could play grieving stepson. △ Nora steps through the glass entrance arch. Black blazer, no makeup, boots clicking steady on the floor. She does not hurry. Nora (calm, unyielding): Your takeover filing omitted the offshore grantor trust. That's not legal possession. That's theft. Elena (barks a sharp laugh): Adorable. You can argue that with the probate judge from whatever motel you land in. The moving van leaves at 6am tomorrow. Don't make security drag you out. Nora (steady, no raise of voice): You can lock the doors. You can take the paintings. You will never own what this place was built for. △ Nora turns and walks out without glancing back. ### 1-2 Interior Dashwood Family Office 47th Floor Corridor Midnight Cast: Nora Rossi △ Three hours past building lockup. Nora presses her back to the corridor wall, phone flashlight held face-down against her palm. △ A security guard's bootsteps echo past the far intersection, then fade. △ Muffled phone audio carries through the closed fire door ten feet away. Elena (filtered, through door): No. Don't inventory it. Drag the founder's desk down to the loading dock at 4am. Shred every paper inside first. Burn the wood. I want zero trace left by open of business. △ Nora's knuckles whiten around her phone. She presses her forehead to the cold drywall for one breath. △ She pushes off the wall, and moves silent toward the locked office door at the end of the hall. ### 1-3 Interior Dashwood Family Office Founder's Closed Office Midnight Cast: Nora Rossi, Elena Mercer △ Nora works the office lock with a thin metal tension pick. The latch clicks soft. She slips inside, closes the door behind her. △ Moonlight slants through the floor-to-ceiling window. She kneels at the solid mahogany desk, pries loose the false bottom panel of the lower drawer. △ Inside rests an encrypted USB drive, and a heavy silver signet ring. △ Nora closes her fist around both. The sharp edge of the ring bezel cuts deep into her index finger. A single drop of blood hits the desk wood. Sound Effects: Deadbolt slams hard from the hallway. △ The office door flies open. Overhead fluorescent lights blaze on full. Elena stands framed in the threshold, suit still crisp, face twisted cold. Elena (low, furious): Well. What have we got here. A little thief breaking into company property. △ Nora does not drop the ring. She lifts her bleeding hand slow. Her thumb presses firm over the trust drive in her palm. △ Elena steps one boot over the threshold. # Episode 2 Script ### 2-1 Interior DASHWOOD FAMILY OFFICE - FOUNDER'S CLOSED OFFICE Dusk Cast: Nora Rossi, Elena Mercer △ Fluorescent emergency light bleeds pale blue over the locked oak desk. Nora stands perfectly still, one hand pressed flat to the desk surface. △ The office door slams hard enough to rattle framed stock certificates. Elena bursts inside, blazer unbuttoned, heels clicking fast across the carpet. Elena (sharp, advancing): Hand over the drive. Now. Elena (leaning over the desk): You looted the secure archive before we locked it down. Don't lie. Nora does not flinch. She lifts her right hand slowly. △ A dented vintage fountain pen is held between her fingers. Fresh blood beads along the broken nib, running slow down Nora's palm. Nora (cold, even): Stole? You project every rotten thing you'd do onto everyone else, don't you Elena. Nora (holds the pen steady between them): This is Henry Dashwood's pen. You broke the lock on his office. Are you going to claim my blood as your property too? Elena recoils so fast she knocks over a chair. She flings one arm up across her face. Elena (voice tight): You're insane. Completely unhinged. Elena (backing fast for the door): Fine. Keep your garbage. Just be gone by dawn. Don't leave a single thing behind. The door slams shut again. Nora does not move. △ For the first time, a thin, sharp smile pulls at the corner of her mouth. Blood drips once onto the desk blotter. ### 2-2 Exterior BROOKLYN HEIGHTS 24HR DINER PARKING LOT Late Dusk Cast: Nora Rossi, Wesley Caruso △ Fifteen minutes later. A beat-up pickup idles at the far edge of the lot. Nora slides into the passenger side, door closing soft. △ Wesley sits behind the wheel, baseball cap pulled low, coffee cup steaming in the cup holder. He does not turn to look at her. Nora does not speak. She unfolds a crumpled napkin and pushes it across the dash. △ A heavy silver signet ring rests on the paper. Wesley freezes. He reaches out one calloused hand. He touches the ring once, then pulls his cap all the way off. His hair is white at the temples. Wesley (quiet, rough): I thought they destroyed this when they cleared out his desk. What do you need. Nora (leaning back, eyes on the diner exit): Activate the offshore trust. The one no board member ever saw. Nora: Move the reserve funds to Barton. Secure the safe house. No paper trail. No calls to anyone still on the payroll. Wesley picks up the ring. He tucks it inside his flannel shirt pocket. He starts the truck's engine. Wesley: It'll be done before sunup. The network always answered to him. Not Mercer. He pulls out of the lot without another word. Nora watches the taillights vanish into the rain. ### 2-3 Exterior MANHATTAN MIDTOWN APARTMENT BUILDING LOADING DOCK Dawn Cast: Nora Rossi, Sabrina Donovan, Paige Baird, Freight Driver, Pawn Runner △ First grey light touches the brick loading dock. A uHaul idles with the rear doors open. Three cardboard book cases sit stacked on the asphalt. △ The freight driver thumps the side of the truck once hard with his fist. Driver (leaning out the cab): Hey. Contract was for four boxes. That's seven. Double the rate or you carry 'em yourselves. Sabrina surges forward, rain plastering her hair to her face. Sabrina (shouting): Those are our father's books! You already got paid! Paige yanks Sabrina back by the elbow. She stands very quiet for three seconds. Then she twists her wedding band off her left hand. △ She holds the plain gold ring out to the kid from the pawn shop waiting by the dock gate. Paige (voice steady, no inflection): This is 14k. It covers the difference. The kid snatches the ring. He shoves it in his pocket and nods at the driver. The driver hops down and starts loading the boxes. Nora leans against the truck bumper. She does not look at Paige or Sabrina. Her knuckles are white where she grips the metal. △ Her mouth does not move, but anyone watching can read the words she is saying to herself. They will pay for this. All of them. ### 2-4 Exterior HUDSON VALLEY PARKWAY MOUNTAIN STRETCH Late Afternoon Cast: Nora Rossi, Sabrina Donovan, Driver △ Grey fog hangs thick over the guardrail. The uHaul drifts left across the lane. △ The driver slams both feet down on the brake pedal. He screams. Driver: BRAKES ARE GONE! HOLD ON! The truck slams full speed into the concrete road shoulder. Metal screams. Tires blow out. △ The rear wheels lift off the asphalt. The whole cab tilts hard over the cliff edge. Shattered glass rains down the hundred foot drop to the river. Sabrina screams and curls into a ball. Nora grabs her around the shoulders. She pins Sabrina tight to the seat back. She does not scream. She does not flinch. △ Nora stares straight down through the broken windshield at the white water far below. Her face is completely calm. Sound Effects: Thin metal creaking, river roar far below, Sabrina's ragged breathing. *The frame freezes on Nora's eyes, fixed on the drop.*
